It’s Friday, so here are four things that I’ve found this week:
- I found this interesting article about encouraging people to start using paper and pen more. I am a big believer in writing things down. It really helps me to remember what I need to do if I have taken my pen to paper and noted it down, so I use Bullet Journaling for my to do list each day. But I am waiting for the delivery of a Rocketbook shortly. This is a pretty cool invention: you write your notes down in the Rocketbook, sync it to the cloud and then microwave the notebook (yes, really) to clear the pages of the notebook (but not the info in the cloud) and start all over again. I’m pretty excited about trying it out.
- I’m looking forward to checking out this new wine bar/cellar and hotel that has opened recently in Stockholm. I think we could have some fun there.
- A colleague and I were talking about Frank Lloyd Wright houses recently and I ended up down an internet rabbit hole. I’d always assumed that the Vandamm House at the end of North by Northwest was designed by the architect, but it turns out that Frank Lloyd Wright’s fee was too high so they designed the set themselves. I found this fascinating article about all the properties in North by Northwest. It’s one of my favourite films. I could watch it over and over again.
- And talking of homes, after starting an interiors styling class on Skillshare, I’m getting excited about whipping our apartment into shape. Yesterday, I picked up this feather beauty for our bedroom. I love the look it gives to the room already.
What interesting things have you found out this week?
