Do you love podcasts as much as I do? There’s nothing better than learning by listening to a podcast sitting on the bus, walking to collect the boys, on evenings when I’m on my own and the boys are in bed. I listen to a wide range but here are my five favourite podcasts.
♣ Kat Molesworth’s podcast at Blogtacular is a fascinating insight into the blogging and social media lives of others. It has led me to some great websites. I’m also hoping to make it to the Blogtacular blogging conference in London in June.
♣ Anna Sale’s Death, Sex & Money is superb – talking about all the things that people don’t discuss. My faves include Tituss Burgess (so touching), Danielle Brooks (Tastee from OITNB), Danny Oquendo, whose younger brother went missing, and Michael Ian Black (funny and touching).
♣ I am a bit of a history nerd, so the BBC’s History Extra is definitely in my top five. Covering both well-known topics and people and events forgotten to time, this podcast has me hooked.
♣ Although The Stockholmer is a podcast created and recorded in Stockholm and featuring city dwellers here, you don’t need to live here to enjoy it. It offers a ten-minute long peek into life here in the capital, including startup innovators, chefs and expats.
♣ You Must Remember This takes me back to my school days, when I was obsessed with the Golden Age of Hollywood. All those amazing stars – the likes of Ingrid Bergman, Vivien Leigh and Cary Grant. The podcast focuses on Hollywood secrets or forgotten stories – the real story of Frances Farmer, the life of producer David O Selznick, the many marriages of Lana Turner.
